This Weymouth features a 55mm round shank, offering moderate leverage and encouraging a balanced response. The design applies pressure to multiple contact points—the poll via the bridle's crown strap, and the chin groove via the curb chain—providing refined control. Unlike loose ring styles, the R55 cheekpiece is fixed to the mouthpiece for a snug and stable fit, encouraging precise flexion. The compact 55mm shank is ideal for horses requiring subtler rein aids or riders who prefer less delay in rein-to-mouth communication.
