Elevator cheekpiece gives poll and curb pressure. The Flexible Mullen is a sythetic plastic tube material of medium flexiblity. This is the first Elevator made available in a synthetic mouthpiece. This cheekepiece applies more poll pressure than a Pelham, but slightly softer curb action as per the curve to the bottom rein. Elevator bits put pressure on the cheek pieces of the bridle, which in turn pull down on the poll. This then creates the horse to lower the head and tuck chin in. If you find that your horse is slightly offended in a metal Elevator or dislikes an accidental snatch, this bit may suit. Elevator bits are favourite bit in the jumping arena.
