Caelo Stable Single Joint Loose Ring Horse Bit

A modern single-jointed mouthpiece designed to offer greater stability and controlled movement through the centre.

The Caelo Stable Single Joint Loose Ring takes the familiar action of a traditional single-jointed bit and introduces a redesigned centre joint that limits how far the mouthpiece can fold backwards.

Unlike a conventional single joint, which allows a greater degree of articulation through the centre, the Stable Single Joint has a restricted range of backward movement. This allows the mouthpiece to retain the independent movement associated with a single joint while maintaining a more stable and supported shape under contact.

The mouthpiece features a steel core with a smooth rubber coating and a slim 14mm thickness. The slimmer profile reduces unnecessary bulk within the mouth, making it a useful option for horses where available oral space is a consideration.

The 65mm Rings provide disperse pressure at the sides of the mouth. Allowing the horse to place the mouthpiece where they feel most comfortable

What is a Stable Single Joint?

The difference is in the range of movement through the centre joint.

A traditional single-jointed mouthpiece can fold considerably as the two sides articulate towards one another. The Caelo Stable Single Joint has been engineered to limit how far this backward folding can occur.

It is still a true single-jointed mouthpiece and retains movement between the two sides, but with less collapse and greater stability through the centre.

This makes it another option within the Caelo range rather than a replacement for our traditional Single Joint. Different horses may prefer different degrees of movement, stability and feedback from their mouthpiece.
