A rubber coated steel single joint mouthpiece allows clear, defined rein aids while maintaining a consistent feel. The traditional single joint action will ask for squeeze and lift, it is often used on the stuff or leaning type horses. It will encourages responsiveness and precision, particularly when subtle adjustments are required in advanced work.
The fixed 70 mm eggbutt cheekpieces provide stability through the mouth, reducing movement and supporting a quieter contact compared to loose ring designs. Often used by breakers or trainers for young horses, whereby a single jointed bit is desired to educate a young horse the true meaning of independent side action, yet rubber coated to avoid the sensitive horse hitting the bit or reacting to a metal bit. Also great for the leaning horse prone to lip splitting.
The rose toned synthetic rubber coating over stainless steel offers a modern finish with a slightly softer surface feel. As with all rubber coated mouthpieces, the material can be chewed over time, particularly in horses that are active in the mouth.
